The UAE plans to invest AED 200 billion in sustainable energy initiatives over the next six years aiming to decarbonize its economy and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al Mazrouei highlighted the nation's commitment to diversifying its energy mix and increasing reliance on clean energy sources.

The UAE also aims to reduce carbon intensity in its oil and gas operations by 25% over the next decade. Al Mazrouei emphasized that the country is a global model for a practical transition to clean energy while continuing to meet current energy demands. The UAE has already made significant investments in clean energy projects with many more under development.
