Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) has introduced a golden visa program to attract and retain top talent in the education sector. This long-term residency visa is available to school leaders (principals, vice principals) and teachers working in private schools in Ras Al Khaimah.
Eligibility Criteria:
School Leaders: Must have an official appointment letter from the Ministry of Education or RAK DOK, an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) and at least three years of experience in Ras Al Khaimah. They must also demonstrate improvements in school performance and have an endorsement from the school board.
Teachers: Must hold an official appointment, an advanced degree and have worked in RAK for at least three years. Teachers must meet at least three criteria such as positive student outcomes, recognition for educational contributions or innovative teaching methods.
Application Process:
Applicants must submit necessary documents to RAK DOK for review, including proof of qualifications, employment and contributions to school performance. Once eligible, educators can apply for the golden visa through the UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
Note:
Educators working outside RAK are not eligible even if they live in the emirate.
Heads of departments qualify under the school leader category.
Only educators actively teaching or in leadership roles are eligible.
School administrators and board members do not qualify.
This initiative aims to enhance Ras Al Khaimah’s education system by recognizing the valuable contributions of educators.
