Qatar Airways has introduced onboard internet powered by Starlink becoming the first airline in the MENA region to offer this service. The inaugural flight took place on October 22 traveling from Doha to London.
Group CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer expressed excitement about the launch highlighting Qatar Airways' commitment to enhancing the passenger experience.

The airline plans to upgrade 12 Boeing 777-300s with Starlink internet by the end of 2024, aiming for all 64 in its fleet to be equipped by summer 2025. This service will be free for passengers.
Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, noted that the service will continue to improve over time emphasizing its potential.
