Dubai to Fund Top Research Projects Under New RDI Grant Initiative

Sheikh Hamdan announces plan to boost innovation and support global researchers

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, announced the launch of the ‘Dubai Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Grant Initiative’ on Sunday. The program aims to position Dubai as a global hub for scientists and innovators by offering essential funding and support.

“We want Dubai to lead the world in supporting research, offering the infrastructure and resources needed to fuel groundbreaking discoveries,” said Sheikh Hamdan.

Supporting 20 Research Projects

The initiative will fund up to 20 research projects in key areas, focusing on Cognitive Cities and Health & Life Sciences. Topics include AI, Robotics, Smart Mobility, and Precision Medicine. The Dubai Future Foundation will collaborate with local and international partners to bring these projects to life.

This new program is part of Dubai's broader vision to tackle global challenges while strengthening the economy. By backing innovative research, the emirate aims to boost its economic agility and create new growth opportunities.
