Sheikh Mohammed has approved the Dubai Walk Master Plan which will make the city pedestrian-friendly year-round by 2026. The plan includes 3,300 km of new walkways and 110 pedestrian bridges.
The first phase focuses on two areas: Al Ras and the Museum of the Future. Al Ras will feature shaded rest stops, greenery and climate control tech to ensure comfort throughout the year while preserving its historical charm. Interactive displays will also share the area’s history.

The Future Loop will be a 2-km elevated walkway near the Museum of the Future, connecting 10 key attractions. It will include air conditioning and green spaces to keep it walkable year-round.
The project will benefit 250,000 residents, reduce travel time and promote a healthier, more modern lifestyle.
