Dubai has announced AED 5.4 billion ($1.5 billion) worth of housing projects to build 3,004 new homes for Emiratis. Key developments include 1,181 homes in Latifa City under the housing loan category and 606 units in Al Yalayis, alongside projects in Wadi Al Amardi, Hatta, Oud Al Muteena, and rural areas.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s Ruler, emphasized that housing remains a top priority for citizens while approving the projects. These initiatives align with Dubai’s ambitious AED 272 billion 2025-27 budget, which projects a record AED 30 billion surplus. For 2025, AED 86 billion is allocated for expenditure, with nearly one-third dedicated to social development sectors such as housing, health, and education.
