Dubai’s DMCC free zone is now home to over 500 Italian businesses, marking a 6% increase since the beginning of the year. This announcement followed the conclusion of DMCC’s successful Made For Trade Live (MFTL) roadshow in Milan and Rome, Italy. The roadshow focused on luxury sectors like jewelry, fashion, and precious stones, providing Italian companies with insights on expanding globally through Dubai.

Bilateral trade between the UAE and Italy reached a significant milestone of $9bn in 2023, solidifying the UAE’s position as Italy’s top trading partner in the Arab world. Italian businesses benefit from Dubai's strategic location, world-class infrastructure, and business-friendly regulations, allowing rapid growth and collaboration across industries.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, emphasized the strong trade relationship, stating, “We house over 500 Italian companies attracted to DMCC’s competitive business environment, 9% corporate tax rate, and our unmatched infrastructure. I look forward to welcoming even more Italian companies in the coming years.”
Attracting nearly 180 business leaders, DMCC’s roadshow showcased Dubai’s appeal as a leading global business hub. With 15% of Dubai’s annual FDI inflows, DMCC welcomed nearly 2,700 new companies in 2023, contributing to its growing network of almost 25,000 businesses worldwide.
