Dubai is rapidly becoming a leading global center for artificial intelligence (AI) fueled by innovative projects, top tech companies and strong public-private partnerships.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, highlighted that over 800 AI companies are now based in Dubai attracted by advanced infrastructure, progressive regulations and support for innovation. According to a Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) study, 66% of these companies focus on testing and applying AI technologies with 48% working on AI software development and 72% being startups or SMEs.

Key initiatives driving Dubai's AI growth include the launch of the 'Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence' in 2024 and the AI Retreat which brought experts together to discuss AI’s economic potential. Sheikh Hamdan also approved the appointment of 22 AI Chief Executives in the Dubai Government to enhance AI integration in public services.
These efforts reinforce Dubai’s position as a global AI leader focusing on local talent, global collaborations and a business-friendly environment to drive innovation and investment in AI.
